I know, I know. Vacation. That we took in July. Better late than never, I say. Let’s continue with the recap. (You can read about Day 1 and Day 2 here and here.

Planning.
Sara and I started planning our July 2011 vacation in October 2010. We rocked out the location, the accommodations, the menus. And then the ball got, well, not quite dropped, but, let’s say, fumbled when it came to activities.
It’s not like we didn’t try to plan things…things just sort of fell apart once we got to Brown County.
So, Tuesday found Sara without a camera, and our clans without a concrete plan of what to do that day. So, we headed to Columbus, IN, to the closest Best Buy (for the camera) and a discovery center/children’s museum for the kiddos.
We decided to forego the local downtown (and very pricey) ice cream parlor, and opted for a Dairy Queen on the way home. It wasn’t exactly how we’d planned to spend the day, but it worked!
