Today is the first day of school for our little guy!
He was up at 6:15, and ready to go shortly thereafter. We actually had a great morning, with time for cuddles, breakfast, cartoons, and some successful time in the bathroom (teachers, you’re welcome!).
We grabbed a quick first day picture (in which, I now realize, he is sporting the EXACT same shirt he wore for the first day of school last year!)…
…and headed out the door. (Note to self, traffic at 7:45 is WAY worse than the 8:45 we' were accustomed to last year!)
We got to school at the same time as Maddie, so, yea for a cute photo op there…
…and then it was off to our classroom. And wouldn’t you know it, my little stinker didn’t even say goodbye. I mean, he seriously, walked into the classroom, handed Miss April his backpack, and didn’t even glance back when I tried to say “have a great day!” I mean, I guess that is better than a tearful mommy-don’t-go goodbye, but still…
