But for now, another post about music.
I don’t remember the first time I saw The Sound of Music, but to this day, I can repeat back the entire script and soundtrack, pretty much verbatim.
I don’t know that there is a sweeter voice of my childhood than Julie Andrews. Whether singing Edelweiss as Fraulein Maria or Superfragilisticexpialodosis (ala Mary Poppins), she kept me entranced.
And apparently, the tradition continues:
Ah, if only I were a VonTrapp.

Cute pics. :) Mary Poppins was one of my ultimate favorite movies of my childhood as well.
You are teasing me with this talk of golf...and, yet nothing. Only the Von Trapps??? Don't get me wrong...Julie Andrews is certainly a worthy topic...but where is the talk of the glorious shades of various greens set against a blue sky...the miraculous ping as ball connects with club causing the ball to soar into the air and fly as it was meant to do???? =)
Just kidding...I actually played the mother in my high school's musical version of Mary Poppins. As a completely random piece of information I thought I'd share this Labor Day morning. If you ever really do write about golf, I'll be here. =)
awwww. Gabi knows all the songs in Mary Poppins although she only actually saw the movie for the first time this past weekend. Love that movie!
and of course The Sound of Music is on our list...
Golf schmolf.
Sound of Music is *much* more important. I, too, can quote the whole movie and soundtrack. :)
I love, love, love The Sound of Music! I would watch it every day all day!!! And I miss you!!
So stinkin' cute!
The Sound of Music? Ah, yes. We are kindred spirits on yet another level now!
