Wednesday, after we went to the bank for our daily visit with Miss Micha and Miss Janet, Seth and I stopped in at McDonald's for a McCafe and some PlayPlace time.
Well, the coffee machine was broken, so I had yogurt and an orange juice, but the playtime turned out to be a goldmine.
Seth, aka The Boy Who Knows No Strangers, made himself right at home with the other family (mom and two kids) who had the same idea as we did. And since he is such a charmer, and we were all bonding over french fries, the other mom, Lisa, and I began a conversation that turned into a 2 hour play date!
We really hit it off, have several things in common, and are planning to meet up at her house on Monday with some other moms/kids for another play date.
Whoo-hoo! I'm making friends. Yea, me!

Wow! You are on a roll! You've always been so great with people, anyway. I have no doubt you will have a booming social life in no time!
Yea! Friends are good!
I saw your comment on He Will Carry Me, and just thought I'd say "hi" from one Nashvillian to another :) I hope you're settling in here. . . I've only lived here a few years. Well, actually, almost 4. Hard to believe. Anyways, my family is a few hours away and I still consider that "home," but my husband have enjoyed our time here for sure. Hope you do as well!
Hi Monica - Michele said you updated your blog w/pics of your house, so I had to take a glance - it looks great! How exciting! I'm happy that you're making friends. Also, the link to your friend Kelly - had me in tears - we've been praying for Harper every nite!

That's great! I recently connected with another mom at library story time, and it's just so fun when you find that you both have a lot of things in common!
Glad that you are connecting with people there in your new place!
If you can't make friends at Donald's, then where can you? :)
